RIP Little Singer

My sewing machine died last night. It's got some kind of timing issue. It has been a great sewing machine, but last time that I had service done on it, I vowed not to spend and more $ on it so I guess it's time for a new one. I don't mind buying a used one, but really need a work horse...anyone have advice?

Sarah I've been sewing on a Janome machine for years and years. I buy them used and then a couple of years later trade up, still used. Not because they have quit working or are having problems - it's just worked out that I wanted to do something the next one up would do but mine wouldn't. :) My only advice though is to buy whatever kind the closest good service man works on. The key to any machine is good service peopel! blessings, marlene
